Hive: A 6 x 6 x 2 wooden shadowbox, painted white, with a layer of beeswax-over-cork in the back… An amorphous shape formed by mobius knots (three rings woven through the center of each other) connected by smaller rings… These are anodized niobium rings, in deep, vibrant, iridescent colors… The chain maille form is pinned in the shadowbox with insect specimen pins…
Evocative of honeycomb, or fragments of wasp nests… Of whitewashed hives seen out in the fields…
